Well I was looking online and found a 1995 Firebird and I found out that the 1994 and 1995 have a Transmission preform button (I read this online I'm not entirely sure if it true), and I want to know what it does. also I've heard what the button does is it holds the RPM's longer, it's traction control, etc (not sure who's right). as for the engine it said v8 LT1 and i didn't know what LT1 meant.

I've never heard of a button/ transmission with a performance button in a firebird. I am guessing it would be an automatic. as for what LT1 stands for...i don't know

The button will raise the shift points and probably the line pressure in the transmission.
