Many hours and lots of patients. The speedo and gauges turned out well. All bench tested everything works. Should operate for another 47 yrs.....

I guess you broke the engine in on the test stand? Did you set up the distributor curve?

Yes I did. As for the curve, the MSD 6AL and 8528 distributor are ready to run, plug & play. Installed the lighter springs for quicker advance. 40 degs. total timing. Inital set @ 8 BTDC.
 
Becareful with that advance of 40 degs. if you mean total mechanical, it is a little on the high side. You would be better off with a total mechanical of 36 and an initial of 12 if the distributor allows that.
