Hello All,

I've been burned before on previous vehicle purchases that end up just being money pits. I'm looking for some feedback and thoughts on whether this vehicle is worth 4 grand and 1200 in shipping cost.

Clean title, 403 Pontiac motor, obviously needs paint and minor body work, also needs a tune up, brake work (vehicle sat for 10 years and they are seized). Owner claims the vehicle has 43k original miles. I've also copied and pasted his exact words on the vehicle.

Supposedly the floor pans are fine and have been epoxied as well as the trunk pan. Vehicle turns over and runs minus the frozen brakes.

"vehicle needs to be finished, was a project that was never finished, so paint, seats, brakes are frozen, haven't driven car in 10 plus years so im sure it may need more than a tune up, vehicle does start, windows work fine, ac system needs to be finished under the hood, fan belts are off makes it easier to turn over, I would go out and start it up twice a year but hasn't been driven in a very long time, may need brake work as there stuck as it states in the ad, the stuff in the trunk are items that still need to be put in, nuts bolts screws, I started this car with the intention that my son would complete it with me for his first car but he has no interest, wants a civic of course, t/a still needs a lot to be finished correctly, I listed it with the door panels, rug, spoiler, sill plates, to show what I have new still in the car, I dropped the frame pulled the engine and put all new bushings in as anyone would, painted up the engine and some of the components, but this car is far from just paint and drive, need to finish the project as stated in the listing."

All feedback good or bad is appreciated.

Thank you

The 403 "Pontiac" motor is actually an Oldsmobile motor.
Where are the pictures of the underside of the car showing the condition of the frame and suspension?
Where are the pictures of the engine code to see whether the vehicle is matching numbers?
Automatic or manual transmission?
No mention of the year but based on the engine 77, 78, or 79.
You can paint the car yourself?
You have no way of knowing what has to be done to the engine and transmission.
Look at www.collectorcarmarket.com for an idea on the value of the car.
If you have been burnt before you know that you may be better off buying a car that has less hidden opportunities.

If it's a 77 with black paint and gold trim (SE) with a 403 only 180 built... Rare!

If it's a 78 with black paint and gold trim ( SE) and a 403 only 210 were built......= Rare!

Otherwise pass on it.
