...grand am? I recently installed a after market cd player in my grand am. The gauges on the dash have stopped working and I was wondering if I blew a fuse when changing the wiring around. If so, which one? The speedometer, odometer, tachometer, water temp., and fuel gauges do not work.

Some GM cars get power or ground for the gauges through the radio...they're designed like that to keep people from swapping out the factory radio. Could be you disconnected a common ground for the gauges. Talk to a radio installer on how to bypass the factory wiring or try these sites...lots of info on installs....

I do not know much about that make of car, but yes, it could be a fuse or a fusible link.
The fusible link is in-line fuse that runs in the wire between the device and the one of the on board modules.
An ASE Certified could tell you fast.

Hey Guys! I just installed an aftermarket stereo in my 2002 Sunfire and the exact same thing has happened. I have checked all the fuses and they check good. Could it be the BCM? Thanks for your help!
