Is this worth an LS conversion?

Looking for a father-son project. Is this worth a conversion? If I need V8 suspension that's cool, I'll go aftermarket. What trans is behind the V6?

The transmission is a 4L60E.
You have to determine based on your budget and the cost of an engine in your area plus other upgrades whether you should dive in.

How about a supercharged 3800?

You would need everything related to the engine, wire harness, ECM, etc. and there maybe a hood clearance issue.

The Biggest hurdle with a S/C 3800 in a rear drive platform is the stock intake would be pointing backwards in the Firebird. There are modified S/C's available (at least there was 10 or so years ago) But they were not cheap.
