Lately my '97 SE is having problems starting (other times, it cranks right up, no problems). When it has a problem, it does either one of two things: either the starter will spin (you can hear this clearly) with no engine start or sputter, or the engine will try to catch, but will not. It usually takes 3-4 tries to get it going. The ignition was replaced by a reputable dealership about a year and a half ago, and it seems to be fine, and I had a tune-up done in late August, during which they convinced me to purchase higher end platinum spark plugs (the sales slip does not say the brand, although I could pull one and see), and a new boot/ wire set was put on. I'm pretty sure the starter is okay-- seeing as how its going every time, and the fuel pump is fine, as I can hear that turn on as well. Basically, could it be a low battery charge, spark plugs, or the starter or ignition, regardless of my thinking those are fine? Thanks for the input!
