...brake dust on the wheels? i changed the rotors and brake pads on my 04 pontiac last weekend and i used the more expensive pads my problem is that thers are a lot of brake dust on the wheels what may be the problem causing this. this makes the second set of pads i have put on the car in the last year.

Are the calipers sliding on the pins. If they are stuck, it will wear the pads faster.

Are you changing the pads because they wear out or just because of the dust? Some dust is normal and what you are willing to tolerate will vary from person to person.
