I've always jacked up my 67 Cat convertible from the front end. I can't use car ramps since the car is just too low. These cars are so long and I've noticed if I jack from the side, behind the front wheel, I notice the doors flex which freaks me out. Is there a right way to jack up a convertible?

If you look in a copy of the factory service manual section 2 states convertible frame is reinforced and there is no different process used to raise it.

The frame is boxed , however when I jack mine I use two floor jacks and lift one side at a time with both jacks , if jacking front I put the jacks under both control arms , on the rear I jack the center on the diff , maybe I am to carefull but having the back glass explode on my corvette on jackstands got me paronoid .
