Hi all,
Wife and I just celebrated 11 year anniversary (which is steel) so she bought me ( well, us, but for me to fix) a 68 lemans convertible!
I’m sure i will a question or two along the path to getting her fixed up ( the car, not the wife) but for now( until the car gets here) I will just be reading everything I can about it! It’s got the 350 2 bbl, 47 heads, not sure which trans yet, seller says stock 350, but I’m not sure if that’s stock. Attached are a couple of pictures for your viewing pleasure and to see what I have gotten myself into…

Welcome to the forum.
In 1968 the only A body with a 3 speed automatic was the GTO with a TH400.
If you have a 3 speed someone replaced the original transmission. TH350 started in 1969.

That's where the console and hood probably came from too, a donor car.

Looks like you have a big project on your hands, have fun..👍

I figure this is a 2-3 year project, will likely be my last big project! Thinking ahead ….. I should probably make sure my tetanus is up to date! Lol

Did some poking around on it, has the stock 68 350 2 bbl, 47 heads and someone has swapped in a th400 ( no clue what year that is yet) car actually runs, but only briefly, then loses spark, in todays mail, I just received a hei dizzy, sink can run it and move it about the garage!
When battery is hooked ip, all lights seems to work as does motor for top, although nothing happens, it probably out of fluid as one of the ram lines is all taped up!
Oh and the clock works!!!! Well, second hand moves, haven’t paid attention to the time it says.
Inhave started sanding to see where the metal ends and the bondo/ rust starts, will post more as I progress

A few more pics
