key stuck in switch

my g/f has a 2004 Aztek. the thing is with hers is that she can start it and turn it off but cant turn the key past acc. ive tired wiggling the steering wheel, pushing up on and moving the shifter around some, rocking the car back and forth while its in park. pretty much everything i can think of. cant seem to get it to come back to get the key out, and right now i dont have the money to replace the switch or anything like that. anything u can think of that might have missed or whatever please reply. would like to get this fixed asap.
 
well glad to see people can look on the forums but cant really offer anyone much help. whats the whole point behind the these forums? im glad that i dont drive a pontiac or any gm car for that matter. anyway for the few that thought they could look at my post and not offer anything i got time this weekend to take the center console apart and found 2 broken wires on a plug. i soldered those up and it all works fine now.
