I could not find a similar question anywhere in the forum so here it is:
I recently traded in my 2003 Chevy Venture for a 2002 Montana van. The range on my keyless entry is approximately 15 feet. I have replaced the batteries in the key fob, but it did not help. The key fob is clean internally, and functions perfect when I am within 15 feet of the vehicle. Somewhere in the vehicle there has to be an antenna of some sort to receive the signal, and an antenna built into the key fob to send it. I have read online about folks extending these antennas and getting much better range! Does anyone know exactly where these antennas are located in the vehicle and in the key fob?
