1999 GRAND AM, Hi I am having a problem with a rotational knock noise from my left front wheel during hard braking
Im not sure if it might be a wheel bearing or maybe drive axle problem .The noise rotation decreases as speed decreases
I only noticed it after having my rotors resurfaced today. the work was performed by myself and all was done by the book (Haynes) all bolts were torqued to specs.
has anyone had anything that has these symptoms?

Is it chattering pads? My Bonneville was particularly touchy to pads. I tried every pad that Autozone had and it would chatter. Went and got a set of NAPA cheapies and it rarely ever made a chatter again.

Check for the shims in place on the calipers/pads. Check for bad sliders too. Make sure they are only lubricated with slider grease too. Any others makes them swell and pinch the caliper in position.

No cracked rotors? No loose wheels? Rotate wheels to be sure there, no cracked rims?
