I addressed this issue 4 months ago. I thought i had left the trunk open and i discovered a week later the spare tire foot well was full of water. the trunk carpet wet . I pulled back all the carpet and dried out whole trunk with dehumidifier.
Now today I see trunk is wet again.. we had a lot of rain. once again trunk wet and spare tire foot well full of water.i rechecked all weatherstripping on trunk looks good and still soft. Some sites say could be the rear wing bolt holes and also tail lamp screws. both look clean and dry... maybe rear glass needs a reseal?? any suggestions. I will have to run a hose over it and look from inside when i get a chance...
