Leaking antifreeze Pontiac Montana?

I have a 1999 Montana that has a coolant leak. The van leaked a little over the summer but never enough where I could see it under the van. I took it to a mechanic where he looked throughout the cooling system but could not find a problem. Now that it has cooled off outside it is leaking alot more. I noticed tonight drips coming out from under the van. Has anyone experienced this with this type of van or other GM vehicle with the 3.4 V6? I know that the motor is notorious for the bad Intake Manifold Gaskets. However when I check the oil it is clean and clear. I just changed it last week and looked as it should so I don't see where that is the problem. No smoke fro the tailpipe. When I fill the overflow tank up and check it the next day the coolant is always dirty looking but not cloudy. I'm scared to have it pressure tested because I've heard that it can cause more problems than it's worth on an old car. Would I be better off just topping off the coolant every couple of days. It never comes close to overheating?
Thanks

Where there IS a leak there IS a source....keep looking till you pinpoint the leak.....

If you never had the intake manifold gasket changed. I'm sure it's the gasket. Coolant will leak form the inside to the exterior of the engine. Take a flashlight and look at the end of the head where the intake manifold meets the cylinder head. It will pool in the valley under the intake plenum. Do not ignore this. The coolant can get into the oil and ruin the bearings. Then it's engine replacement time. Any decent GM mechanic will diagnose this easily. There is a law firm taking applications for a class action law suit. Search the web and file a claim. You could get some money back from the lawsuit.

I know this is an old post but my 03 had a leak and it was on the back side of the motor and it was the head gasket leaking. there is a water port that always leaks to the outside of the motor never leaks into the cyclinder. I had my GM tech friend of mine replace both head gaskets and lower and upper gaskets, then I had him replace the coolant with green coolant instead of Dex-cool(junk) As far as the lawsuit goes I dont think you would ever get it there are all kinds of stipulations but good luck if you do get a lawsuit portion I my self am not going to hold my breath especially since GM is going to be out of business.
