i have a 99 sunfire with a 2.2 auto that i have lifted 3.5 inches and have 33 inch tires on it. my issue lies when it was lifted that high my camber was all out of wack so i made my own lower control arms that are about 2.5 inches longer. by doing that i have now run into issues with my cv axles being way to short i have tried to cut the stock ones and have them sleeved and welded back together that worked for alittle but eventually doing power launches broke the welds on those. so my question is, does anyone know if there are cv axles from another car ie grand prix that would be the same splines on the transmission side that are just alittle longer if need be i can change the hub but would rather not 156592872_4025576137480440_6351899176262216168_n.jpg157191472_4025576134147107_6609279622694088907_n.jpg161000480_4046242392080481_3403418350197969952_n.jpg

Never seen anyplace that publishes the length, diameter, and spline count of axles. Have you tried someone else to do the welding?

i have tried myself multiple times with very little luck so i took them apart so it was jist the bare shaft and took it into an actual fab shop that pre heated it and welded it with way more penetration then i got but still got about 10 good runs with it then broke the weld seems like the metal around the weld gets really brittle and just snaps i have also tried drilling and pinning/ bolting but don't really trust that

Assuming you have a 4t40e transmission, it was never used in the Grand Prix
