Looking at a 97 Sunfire GT

Hey im new here looking at picking up a sunfire GT checked out the car today and it seemed pretty sweet. Please give feedback on any known issues i should check before going through with the deal. I will be doing it tuesday if everything goes smoothly.

97 Sunfire Owner

Hey:
Just joined tonight. Have a 97 Sunfire which was owned by my brother which I have owned for 2 years. Last month I drove it from Ohio to Colorado with no problems. It has 144k on it with an original motor and tranny. I have replaced front end pieces, alternator, tires, brakes, and clutch cables - no major issues. It is a great car to drive and I got 32+ miles per gallon on the highway. Fun car to drive and still doesn't look too bad. My cousin had a chevy cavalier Z24 (same car - different badge) which he took to 250k miles, when the tranny dropped. They drove the car home at 4,200 RPM in second gear and the engine never blew. Would recommend the car to anyone.
