looking for better handling

hello fanatics, i have recently purchased a 2001 grand am (3.4liter) and everything is great but i'm not pleased with the handling aspect. What struts would you recommend for increased handling? I won't be lowering the car so im not replacing the springs. What else can i do other than the dampers?

Try KYB struts and larger sway bars. Larger wheels and tires are another idea.

Looks like http://www.rockauto.com/ has plenty of struts and the prices are lowest I've seen. I'm eyeballing KYB AGX or acdelco premium gas charged as they claim to outperform OE.

Is there a tranny dipstick for the grand am auto 3.4 or is the fill plug underneath?

No dipstick... there is a plug on the side you pull with the motor running to check the fluid level ( car has to be on a lift to do this). Filler plug is red on top of the tranny on the drivers side.
