Looking to Remove my 2007 Pontiac Torrents Headlights?

I'm trying to modify my headlights by painting the inside...if this is safely possible which tools do i need to do this task? plz and TY!!!
 
I Love the Pontiac Torrents, I have a 2006 Pontiac G6 GT though =) But I have no idea to your question.

Your headlights are a safety feature of the vehicle and anything you do that that alters the light output will be illegal. I would advise against any modifications in this area.
 
once they are off pop them in an oven at 200 deg, the silicone will come off. then you can pry open the headlights to customize them.
i'll try to find were i got this info from later.

In order to get the housing off would you have to remove the bumper or what is the procedure?
 
Is there maybe a how to? I have a black on black Torrent and I think its pretty goofy looking with those huge chrome lights. Blacked housing should have been an option at least!
