Loses gauges and radio while driving

I was driving the other day in the rain and all of a sudden i lost the dash lights, gauges, radio, basically all electric but the car stayed running. Anyone have any ideas what I need to check? Today it happened without it raining.

Have you noticed any moisture in the passenger floorboard area? If you have, you probably have a wet BCM, and it needs to be removed and dried out, and connectors cleaned.

I had this happen to my 2000 Buick Le Sabre, turned out to be a loose battery connection. Tightened the cable everything worked again and has not reoccurred.

I am in the middle of a similar issue with my Sunfire. I am sure that my problem is a faulty ECU. I am going to replace it and have it flashed. I will let you know if this is the problem.

A faulty ECU would cause more problems then just losing gauges and lights. It's most likely a different problem your having.

Check the connections on the instrument may be loose, check for power.
