I have posted this question before but I never got any ideas so I am going to try again. I have a 1976 50th anniversary TA with a 455 that I finished putting together early this year and my passenger side header is quite a bit lower to the ground than the drivers side. I also plan on rebuilding the steering this winter and I am having a hell of a time finding tie rods and the other components besides just cheap Moog parts. I would like to find some nice powder coated pieces. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Long live the Indian.

Hey bad, hows it going? My friend in the Calgary Firebird club, has the same year of car, ( with a 403 ) and he has the same problem, I am not to sure if there is a fix for the low header problem or not. He has looked, but came up dry. Good luck, if you do happen to find a fix, PM me so I can let him know. Thanks.

I think I am going to switch my motor mounts to solid mounts so I should be able to mess with the angle of the motor a little. I may even try heating up the header and try reshapping it.

What headers do you have? How much ground clearence do you have? You might be on to something with the motor mounts being screwed up. If you mess with the angle of the engine, you will cause a vibration from the driveline angles being changed. Trust me on this one. I have done it.

Moog makes the best steering and suspension parts available for stock replacement. Alot of the road race guys use nothing but. And these guys put those parts to the test with the lateral G-forces that they pull.
