I've gotten a little deeper into my AC removal project. I got the new cover for the firewall and realized i need to pull the right front fender to get the new cover on. There is a trim piece that runs fender to fender front to back with the engine size listed at the front. There is a screw at the front and back. What holds that trim piece on under the door and how do you remove it? Mine looks like new and i don't want to bend it or break the clips that likely hold it. Do you need a special tool to release clips or something? Any help is appreciated.

One method i found is to take a large flat blade screwdriver and insert at the bottom edge of the molding where the clip is located and pry up. Due to the age of the clips, some may break.
