Ls swap

Hi guys, I've got a 2nd gen trans am that I am thinking of swapping the 455 for an 05 5.3 ls. Just curious if anyone has ever done this on the forum before and could give some insight on what issues I might run into. It is a truck motor and comes with a stand alone wiring harness. I would also like to run the ac (I do live in Florida, waay to hot here). I would also need some input on what tranny would fit. If anyone can shed some light on this it would be greatly appreciated, I can get the motor fairly cheap is the reasoning for contemplating a swap beside the 455 being a little tired and needing an rebuild. I havent come across anbody on this forum doing that particular swap but it is doable, try using google for the swap including looking under Camaro swaps. Problem is why would you want to go from a 455 to approx a 323, you will be greatly disappointed in the performance and will kill the resale value of the car.

Thanks guys, I'm am still doing some research I appreciate the help. I have removed the front clip and have started my build or rebuild I guess you could call it. The motor is ready to come out and im exploring some options. Thanks again for the input.
