I have an 89 formula 350 and I've got a 383 stroker short block with-scat rotating assemly(all forged)+balanced, 10:5:1 compression, 4-bolt main aluminum dart block, custom ground roller cam(6.20 lift,106 LSA), springless valvetrain, AFR aluminum heads, edelbrock LT1 intake, mallory unilite dist., block decked to 0 clearance...$$$, 58mm throttle body. The motor is unassembled but I expect around 600 horsepower (na), I will be getting a 12-bolt and a T56 next as well as a procharger kit. My question is-should I put this project motor aside and build the new LSX block to pump over a thousand horsepower? The car will never be sold and it has and will be used to race on the street for the sole purpose of taking money from other racers. I don't mind spending a lot of money now to make sure I will get it back and then some later. The ONLY thing about the car that appears aftermarket are the rear tires and the roll cage, I plan on a sleeper. Consider, I will be using my procharger regardless
