Ok here is the deal. My 2000 pontiac sunfire was broke down for a little over 2 years. I was told the computer was bad and it would be 800 to fix, didn't have it so just let it sit. A friend looked it over said just the ignition, replaced it for 25 and now it runs good (after replacing the battery). I only drove it about 20 miles from where it was sitting at my mom's house to my driveway. Because of sitting for 2 years it is due for an inspection and new plates. What maintenance should I do on it before I try to get it to pass a safety and emission inspection? I am guessing it will need an oil change but anything else?

thanks in advance for any advice?

you didnt say how many miles are on the car. Change the fuel filter, air filter, and get some new gasoline in the tank as soon as possbile.

158,000 and I had to put gas in it to get it to my house. It was sitting almost on empty.

Thanks

if you never changed the spark plugs replace them and plug wires if it's in the budget
