Manual Transmission

Hello. I have a 1989 Sunbird LE with 500,000kms on it. It also has the original engine (Only Synthetic Oils) and Transmission on the 5 speed manual shift!

I was wondering if there is any filter for the transmission that should be cleaned/replaced?

I am going to do a Syncromesh fluid change soon and am going to try the Amsoil Syncromesh Synthetic fluid instead of the GM Syncromesh fluid for a change!

Any advise would be great!

There are no filters for manual transmissions.

Sometimes the drain plug on manual trans may have a magnet attached to catch metal particles but thats as close to a filter you get, just drain and fill is the usual deal !
