Hello, I have a 2000 Grand Am 2.4L, that used to only misfire when I hit the throttle hard. One day it started misfiring all the time with codes P0300 and P0141 (SES flashing and trac light on). I pulled out the fuel injector elec connectors one by one and determined Cyl. 1 was misfiring. So far I swapped plugs, switched coil packs around, switched fuel injectors 1 and 2 around, verified fuel injector was getting power with noid light, and compression tests give about 150 psi in all four cylinders. Still Cyl 1 misfires.

Any Ideas?
Thanks

Thanks... The coils are in a white plastic piece right over the plugs, no distributor. I did not see any arc marks. The short plug 'wires' are new. I'm guessing the ECU not opening the fuel injector correctly, but I really don't know enough about it.

Also I checked the spark by laying the coil pack assembly upside down on the engine and grounding the #1 plug and watched it spark while turning it over.

Zimgxp was right, Autozone calls it an ignition coil adapter. I didn't see any arc marks, but I wrapped the bottom of it with packing tape, put it back together and ran the car for a couple of minutes, took it apart again and there was a tiny hole and burn mark in the tape in the bottom middle under the coils. Sorry to doubt you Zimgxp. Thanks dude.
