Hi,

I have just bought, a few weeks ago, a 2003 montana. So everything was fine, then suddenly all at once the interior lights when off, as the power doors, power windows and a few other. The van still works fine, so I went and checked the fuses with a test light. In the engine compartement as well as in the passenger side the fuses concerning was is not working seem fine. What is happening, has this heappened to someone else? If you can help I would gladly apreciate, thanks.

just a thought , make sure that you did not press the over ride button on the overhead consol to turn off all interior lights. but that would not explain why the power windows would not work ? Do you think the whole fuse panel at the end of the dash is out ? If so maybe there is a larger fuse feeding that panel somewhere else ? I know not much help but thats all I can think of .

I have alot of miles on my van apx 160,000 and sometimes when I turn my key a little funny my electrical system to mess up , meaning like the indicator lights go crazy and the information display goes nuts with all the messages ect... but all I have to do is jiggle the key/ignition a bit and all is well. Sooner or later I probably have to replace that . Maybe yours is loose or wearing out ?

Thanks Steel city for anwsering so soon. So finnally I let go the fuse idea and started cleaning up some wire contacts under the hood. Turned out to be, I think because now everyting seems to work fine, the red wire just above the battery. I guess sitting in a parking for a few months got her a little rusty. Now I was wondering one last thing when I start the van, the backlight in the dash and the console light up. Even thought I play with the 3 setting on the left of the sterring wheel, as if the were no day light? Is this just how its made?

Again thanks

Not sure what your asking ? If you are referring to the backlit dash lights, then the wheel looking switch next to the headlight switch, that wheel looking switch is the dimmer for the dash lights all the way one way and the lights are at the dimmest and all the way the other way and lights are the brightest and the interior lights are on. Hope this helps if not ask again. Reading your post again I think you are referring to the headlight switch over ride . These vans are made for the headlights and parking lights to come on automatically at dark. You can use that switch and over ride the auto function and have either the parking lights or parking lights and headlights come on in the day time. Again if I did not answer your question then fill free to ask again.

After removing the plastic dash panel I found out the sensor for day/night was unhocked and so was always in the dark. My problem is now fixed thanks again for the help!

Great news thanks for the update , always want to know what fixes the problem.
