Make sure the wiring connector fits tight into the blower housing. Sometimes that is were it gets loose. I saw that on a chevy malibu. Had to bend the connectors to make a better contact.
hi and thanks for the answer blower motor about 1 year ago it stoped without warning i put a screw in beside the connector and i put a little caulk on the wires it ran for about a year but now stops I wiggle the connector and it runs for a while and stops i never know when it will stop.is there a way to replace the connecter? all help appreciated Thanks Tom
ps I am new what is meant by title is it montana or user name?
I played around with the Malibu serveral times like you , and finnaly what I did was take the blower motor out and where the clip connects to I soldered 2 wires on the connector so that I have 2 pig tails coming out then cut the connector off the wiring harness and then wire nutted them together.
Hi and thanks I finally got around to removing the blower motor from my montana it looks as if the plug in mod is burnt and the red on the motor look black how do i solder to the motor did you nibble away the plastic female receptable to get to the motor contact pins other wise can;t get in to solder I hope i am being clear you said you finally soldered and then wire nutted the wires to the blower motor please advise
Thanks Tom
Thats what I did, I nippled away at the plastic to expose the 2 flat pieces of metal so I had something to solder to and then wire nutted to the wires coming from the harnesss(had to cut the wires from the connector).
thanks i am trying one more thing before i nibble away at the plastic and solder so here goes i bought the miniture blue spade push on connectors and i crimped the wire to them they fit pretty snug
so far so good if it holds up many more people may try this fix will keep you updated the small blue are the ones you need they will not touch each other
