I am away at college and keep my sunfire at my moms house. I drive it when i occasionally come and visit her(once a month). Today i got here and got in my car and it started up normally and what not. I drove it around town making a few quick stops at places and one of them i knew i'd be in there for a while so i shut off my car. come back to it go to start it and it didn't start. i thought I didn't turn it right cause as soon as it didn't start i turned the key all the way back then all the way forward and it started. drove it some more. went home for dinner, get back into my car to go get my girlfriend and this ****ing thing wont start. I put the key in the ignition turn it forward and the normal lights go on in the dash, the radio and blower turn on, and stop when i turn it forward more to start it and then nothing happens. the car doesn't start up. the lights and radio still are on. when i turned down the radio i heard like a very faint humming which here to find out from what i've read online is the fuel pump working properly. i remember my cousin working on my car a few years ago and getting the car to start just by hitting something under the hood. any idea what that was or where to find it? my mother's husband is a mechanic, but he's asleep already cause he get's up at 3am. and i really dont wanna wake him. any ideas or suggestions on what to do?
