My car is acting up and im wondering what to do? 2002 Pontiac Montana?

The car hesitates sometimes when you press the gas, then it jerks you. It to happen more often recently. I think it might be a transmission problem. The car is a 2002 Pontiac Montana any ideas on what to do?

you say it hesitates? when was the gas filter been changed? what about the plugs? it don,t sound like it,s the transmission but you could try changing the fluid and filter.
