I have a 1991 firebird with 305 and an aftermarket steering wheel. I want a factory steering wheel but can't find one. also the steering wheel seems to move side to side is this a common problem?

The steering wheel should not move while driving. It should be locked into place. Does your steering column allow tilt adjustments?

For an original replacement wheel, have you checked out any wrecking yards or 'pick a part' yards in your area? Have you searched ebay?

Should have an air bag, might of been stolen at one time.( was a big market for them a few years ago) That might explain the loose steering column.....

Might be better off with a used column and wheel/ airbag.
