Okay, so my Aztek has developed what appears to be an electrical gremlin. A few weeks ago, my Aztek developed random/multiple misfires and had a P0300 code. The vehicle then stalled and would struggle to start and would stall out shortly after stalling. The vehicle was towed to my mechanic. We started with the Ignition Control Module. That fixed the random/multiple misfires. However, the vehicle now just randomly will stall out. The vehicle was throwing anti-theft codes and when they looked at the module, it was dropping out. Somehow, GM still had a new OE unit available, so we threw that in. That cleared out the anti-theft codes. However, the vehicle is still randomly stalling out with now zero codes to go on. It has stumped my mechanic and I. He's been going through each wiring harness checking the signals to see if he can see anything, but as we all know this is time consuming going through each one. I have a donor Aztek (my first one that died a few years back) and we decided to pull the engine bay fuse box and the ECM out of that one in attempts to see if throwing in known good ones (at least when the car was parked) changes anything. If this doesn't work, does anyone have any ideas on areas/parts to check that I could pass along?
