Hello! I have a 2007 GP GT and it had an exhaust leak, so we welded it to fix it. I'm aware that welding can cause damage to electronics, so I was sure to disconnect the ground terminal from the battery before welding. Once we got done the stereo and blower motor no longer worked. Upon further investigation the stereo has power to the continuous wire but not to the remote wire, even when the ignition is on. The servos for temperature control and vent control both audibly move when adjusted, however the blower speed control does absolutely nothing at any setting I have of course checked all the fuses I can find. Does anyone have any suggestions of where I can look?

What is a remote wire, did you mean switched?
Check blower resistor and relay.

Yes, the switched wire that when on turns on the radio (I have an aftermarket stereo). I can't find a fuse for it and I don't know how to trace it back without wiring diagrams.

I haven't been able to find a relay for the blower motor, and the "resistor" seems to be a serially controlled device with large-gauge power and a small serial wire going into it. Any tips on checking it? Is it just dead?

Try autozone site for a wiring diagram for both systems

Yesterday the blower motor decided to heal itself. I have no explanation but it wasn't working for 4 days and then all the sudden it began functioning again.

Now I need to find what's wrong with the remote wire on the stereo. I checked the drawings on AutoZone but they didn't have much detail on the entertainment system for the 2007.
