Need help with identification

Looking to purchase this car. Told it was a 64 Lemans GTO. I want to see if it is a real GTO. Can anyone break down attached in for me?

In 1964 the GTO was not a separate vehicle within the Tempest/LeMans group it was only an option code.
824F tells you it's an 8 cylinder Tempest LeMans from 1964 made in Fremont, Calif.
Only way to be sure is to contact Pontiac Historical Services provide them with the VIN and for a fee they will give you documents showing what it really is.

5N on the trim tag is the GTO option, but not all 64's built had it...
