Need info for starting my car

I have a 1971 pontiac lemans sport with a 350 engine. I put a new alternator on today and a new battery. I don't think I hooked up the alternator up right. I will post a picture. I went to turn on the car and nothing. No dash lights, no click no nothing. If anybody could help me that would be great.

On two wire connector, the heavy red wire goes to the spade connector marked 1. Did you check the battery with a voltmeter? Did you check the battery connections both at the battery and the starter and the ground? You did connect the battery wires correctly, negative goes to the ground wire, positive goes to the starter? Are you sure those splices are good?

I found out what it was. It was the two wires on the back of the alternator. I only had one hooked up. Thank you for the info.
