need info on aluminum 449 heads

I'm new to this forum so I hope you won't be angry if this question has been asked before. I need some information on aluminun pontiac 449 heads. What were they used on ? Any specs on valve size and were they known to flow good ? I have a friend who is planning on putting a set on a V6 chevy engine. Does anyone know if the 449 heads will bolt up to any Chevy 90 degree V6 block? Thanks

not sure what 449 head you are talking about but this link mentions a 449 casting which was an inline 6 so it would not fit a v6. If this isnt what you mean can you provide more information

Thanks melsg5 for the reply. I'm not sure exactly what heads my friend was talking about. I really didn't know if Pontiac heads would fit other GM. blocks. Thanks again for the reply
