Hi again,
I have recently switched my car's shifter from the column to the console and my neutral safety switch is not plugged in at the moment. I have a wire attached to the connector creating a circuit so I can start the car (not safe). I have the manual for the car and a wiring diagram but I can't quite read it proficiently. I need to know what part to connect the wires to on the neutral safety switch. There are two male ends (sticking up) and two female ends (in the black plastic cover).

Thanks for the help in advance!!!

Not sure what year you are talking about but looking at your previous posts I guess it's a 72? If so, are you aware that on a factory set up for that year with a console the neutral safety switch is on the steering column? So what shifter are you using?

64-66 ? Lemans , Mel ......... looks like a factory floor shifter from those years.

Thanks 64, well the switch controls two circuits the backup lights and the starter. You should be able to place the car in reverse. One pair of connectors will show zero resistance that is for the backup lights and the other should show infinite resistance which is for the starter circuit.

Thank you for the info. I will check into all that soon. Fingers crossed!!
