New Battery, key won't come out...

The Torrent would not start, key would not come out, vehicle won't come out of park....bought a new battery.... no change

the vehicle wont come out of park unless you have your foot on the brake pedal and the brake pedal switch is energized releasing the solenoid that locks the car in park. If you have no power none of that is going to work.
1. Did you have your old battery tested or you just assumed it was a battery problem?
2. Did you check your main fuses in the engine compartment box?
