Hello Everyone,
I am new to the forum and am slowly doing a frame up restoration on a 72 Lemans. Can anyone recommend a good book to use as a restoration guide?

A little of info on the car, it is a Luxury Lemans that was assembled in Atlanta, GA. It was originally a 350 Engine car but someone installed a 400. The body is in pretty rough shape so floor pans, Quarters, a little patch in the trunk and front fenders are to be replaced or repaired. I have already sandblasted and painted the frame and replaced all bushings and ball joints.

I look forward to contributing to the forum as I slowly move along with the restoration.

Thanks for any info,
William

Welcome and thanks for joining. Check out the Pontiac GTO Restoration Guide by Paul Zazarine

I am seeing two different restoration books available. Both titled the same and have a red car on the cover but one has a white front cover and the other has a picture of the car sitting in front of a house and has "2nd edition" on the bottom corner. Are these the same or is one more current and updated than the other?
Thanks

if they are the same author, the 2nd edition is the one to get. You should also consider the factory Chasis Service Manual and the AIM, assembly instruction manual. Those two can be found at www.amesperf.com

Thanks,
I will order it today and look into the others you have recommended as well. Except for different front end parts the GTO and Lemans are the same as far as brake/fuel line routing and electrical routing right?

correct they are both considered A body, Firebird F, and large cars B and Grand Prix G
