I have a 2001 Pontiac Montana with very dim headlights. I use the fog lights all the time at night and never turn the brights on; it's actually better that way. The lens are not real scratched up, but have a few cracks and some condensation. Has anyone here put new headlights in and found it was worth the expense? Is it just the design that makes them dim and new ones won't help? Did you switch to a different bulb, too?
Also, what brand and where did you buy your new lens? Thanks, Scott

if they are yellowed auto parts stores sell cleaning kits. If you want to replace them with factory orginal try www.gmpartsdirect.com. For bulbs look at the Sylvania Silver Star line.

I bought new ones a couple of years ago from rock auto what a big difference but now they are starting to fog up again. They were cheap but I had nothing to lose.

try off bug spray and an old sock . . will clean haziness up but will need redone on occasion due to elements affecting the plastic . . have done this to a past Grand Am we owned and worked for months with no haziness returning . . if anything it will help unless you use 1000-1200 grit sand paper and buff out the headlights and reseal with a clear coat . . i used the Off bug spray, washed off with water then hit with rain-x

Thanks for the tip. It's almost to the point where my fog lights are brighter than my low beams. I always wanted to convert the fogs over to hids.
