Ok, I own a 1999 Ford Ranger, not relevant here I know, but i just got married, and my wife has a 2004 Pontiac Grand Am, its red, 4 door, and is all stock! She bought it used many years ago with 62K miles on it, it now has about 84K on it..
Anyway, I myself, am not a GM or Chevy or Pontiac fan... but i have to admit it, from my time behind the wheel, its a fun car to drive...
So i need help maintaining this car......
i know nothing about it... i was told it should have the 3.4 motor in it????
Its time for an oil change and stuff, and her dad has always changed the oil and he isnt real keen on providing me much info about the car.
The car is so dam low to the ground, how and what is the best way to change the oil???
I need to get an owners repair manual i know..
I change my own oil and do all my own work on my truck, but my truck is lifted and easy to get underneath it..
Has anyone ever used SEAFOAM in the intake to de-carbon and clean the engine, has anyone used seafoam in the crankcase, etc.. what are the best ways to tune this car up..
also, will need help on doing a spark plug change.....
So i will try to figure out soon what engine and trim package and all that good stuff... but any help on what to look for would be great...
so its a
2004 Pontiac Grand Am, automatic, I think its the SE? package.... 4 door, all power windows/locks/mirrors, etc...
Thanks for the help guys!
Not asking for all the answers right away, just post me some links and give me some general help..
I look forward to being on here alot...
