hello, forummers,

My name is g.w.hekman, and i'm living in holland (europe).
I'm a big fan of usa cars of the sixties, and i own a 65 chevrolet corvair  witch i'm at the moment restoring (hope to finish it this summer)

I ended at this forum because i bought a set of pontiac rally 2 wheels, and i have a question about the numbers that are stamped on the inside of the rim.

I already tried to figger it out on google, but i did'nt find what i'm looking for.
So i hope that somebody can help me out.

the numbers on the inside are: 14 x 7 jj m15 g327 10
on the outside m15 10 ks 27

Just wanted to know what the production year is, and on what pontiac they where mounted on.

thank you,

greetings from holland

Good to have you here all the way from Holland. Do you have some pics of those rally wheels to share?

wheels

here's a pic of my rally 2 wheels.

I've looked for the serienumbers, and it seems that the wheels were produced in oktober 1971

Wheels are very rusty but straight. I think the best way to refurbisch them is sandblasting and a powdercoating. unfortunally no centercaps, so if anyone has a set or knows a adress ?

thank you

center caps are available from www.amesperf.com

thanks for the link melsg5 .

but 42 $ for just one cap is a bit to much for me I think that i'm gonna "fabricate"the caps myself :D

The red or black are $115 for a set without the original style clip.

Oké, can i mount the caps in the wheels without the clips ?

yes the clips were a sort of anti-theft device, to remove the wheel cap you had to remove the clip from the back side of the wheel.

Oké thanks, but i'll think i can better try to fix something myself. The shipping and importtax are huge for just 4 centercaps
