• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... Hi All,

I'm not typically a big forum "poster" as I usually just read all old threads to find what I'm looking for . . .

In any case I"m starting a project car with my son, he's currently 10 so I'm not in any huge rush :) and am starting a restoration of a 1985 Fiero. I purchased it for $500, and to say it is in poor shape is an understatement. The engine runs though, and almost all systems function as they should to be able to pass safety and emissions. (I'll post a new thread on that shortly.)

My goal is to use the car as a run-around vehicle as I restore it since the engine is relatively new, and the transmission is in pretty good shape, so it primarily needs body and interior work to make it a car worth bragging about.

Thanks for all the posts I've been able to read in the past that have been helpful, and thanks in advance for any assistance you provide.
