Just picked up a Sunfire...was wondering, what would be some good mods to start out with?

Welcome aboard. What year model, and how many miles? What engine do you have, Eco-tech or Quad 4? Manual or auto tranny? If you don't have any real knowledge of the car's history, I'd recommend working on all the routine maintenance stuff first off. As for mods, one of the easiest, and less expensive mods if to install a Cold Air Intake in place of the stock air box. Another mod would be a high flow exhaust, and/or a header.

Flame decals, adds about 20+ horsepower. Lol jk.

I would go with cold air intake first, fairly inexpensive. You can get one for around 50 to 70 on eBay or Amazon. Unless you go AEM, then that'll cost over 200.

New Sunfire Owner as Well!!

I got a Sunfire this week as well!
Its a 2003 2.2l Sunfire SL. Auto tranny.

Power mirrors and power windows. All the windows roll up and down except the rear passenger window. Is that a big job to fix?

The front bumper is cracked a bit on one side. What would be the best way to repair it? Is there a particular glue I should check out?

I don't know much about engines but I would like to improve its performance. Is replacing the Air intake system difficult to do?

Thanks
:D

It's an '05 Sport model, somewhere around 140,000, and it's got an ecotech with an automatic transmission. I like it, but want more HP lol

Is it the paint that's cracked or the actual bumper? If it's the paint, it can be repainted, but if the bumper is actually cracked, I've yet to see a repair that looks good, some intentionally look funny, but never good. If you do find something, let me know, 2 months after getting my bumper replaced some a**hole in a parking lot clocked me with something.
