• Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "1995 Trans Am" isn't going to indicate to anybody that you need help. However, "Need help with my 1995 Trans Am" will. Be as descriptive as you can. Please use common sense... Hello,

I am new to the forum. I have a 2001 Grand Prix GT that I have owned since 2013.
Actually got the car as a theft deterrent (sits in the driveway, thief thinks someone's home) and to save some wear and tear on my F250.

Only real issue with the car is the sunroof leaks if I don't remember to blow out the drain lines every Spring and Fall (pollen and pine needles are to blame..)
That, and I hate that the recall to prevent an oil leak really ruined the looks of the "open hood" pose for the car.

Thanks for having me!

Jim

welcome to the forum. They didnt reinstall the engine cover after they fixed the recall? If so you can pick one up at a junk yard.

Nope. They said they had to send it back to the factory as part of the recall. I searched this board shortly after I posted and found a similar post. According to that post they should have re-installed. Stealership said it would be illegal for them to reinstall as the cover was the problem. I plan on visiting the JY soon. It really hurts the looks of the car in my opinion.

Thanks for the reply.
