Does your car have any power? Interior lights on when door open?
When turning the key forward to start do accessories come on?
If you have power and accessories but no crank it could be a number of things from anti-theft to starter motor.
If you have no power, or very low power then your battery is dead. To see if you have low power place key in "run" position and you should have dash lights and accessories. Turn your headlights on or if DRL are on watch them while you turn key into "start" position. If all the lights get very dim when trying to start it's your battery.
To remove the key there’s an emergency release under the steering wheel. Remove the little square cover and there is a yellow button. Press it and you should be able to remove the key at the same time.
