Born in B'kln NY in '55. So, I was just getting serious about model cars, slot cars, and all the Hot Rod type magazines in the mid-60's. I love the mid 60's drag stuff (AWB, A/FX, early Funny Cars, etc). I also was coming up just as the Muscle Car boom hit. Me and friends used to ride our bikes to all the new car dealers in Sept, and look at all the new stuff Detroit had to offer. We saw the Camaro Pace cars, GTO's, GS's, 442's,and Hemi cars unloaded off transporters with their protective seat covers and little tags hanging off the radio knobs.........It was a thrill. I used to read about Big Willies Street Racers in SoCal. Well, in '69 we moved to Socal. Two yrs later I'm driving, and 2 yrs after that I began about a 15 yr career of Street Racing, later to be asked by Big Willie hisself to become a member. PLEASE do not confuse my Street Racing past to the vehicular stupidity going on today. We were very safe and serious about what we did. Wee hrs of the morning at Industrial areas with no intersecting side street, and we policed the area well. If you did something stupid, you were invited to leave. Anyway, I like all makes of American cars. Started mostly Chevys, and evolved to a little of everything. OK, to the Pontiacs. I love 57's, 60's, most GTO's, Firebirds, etc. I had 4 60's in the last few yrs, one of which was a Tri-Power, 8-lug, 4 speed car. I also built a 51 Ford, altered wheelbase, straight axle car a couple yrs ago with a bad boy 421/Super T-10. Yesterday I bought an intersting 70 Firebird from it's ORIGINAL owner!!! Interesting car. Copper/browm, 3-speed stick, non AC, and manual disc brakes. I'm wanting a Formula 400 hood for it BTW
