Hello,
I have recently replaced my O2 sensor for the second time in 1 year and after 1 day of driving the mini van the engine light has come back on. Could it be another problem?:( The code keeps on saying P0141.

The mechanic is putting on for me, so I'm assuming he is buying the same one. He didn't mention anything about wires. Is that easy to locate if I look under the car? I've also been reading that it could be the catalytic converter, is that true?

cat is not listed on the possibilites, the only code is p0141? You should be able to see the sensor on the exhaust system

Yes the only code in p0141. I will go home tonight and check again. Does the cat have it's own codes? Sorry for the stupid question.

The code you have is for the upstream sensor. A converter would be the downstream one, sensor 2.

Thank you @zimgxp. They have changed all of the sensors and the P0141 still comes up. This is a big problem as in Ontario this will not pass an emisions test. Any other suggestions??

did they check the wire harness

Yes they did. All looks good. This is driving me crazy!! Any suggestions??

How come your mechanic is not figuring this out since he has the vehicle in front of him? Does he have the proper scanning tool to diagnose the problem beyond just reading what the code is? Is he putting in an aftermarket part and hasnt tried an original GM sensor? have you considered a different shop or a dealer?
