2001 Aztech. Starts runs OK, but in about 30 seconds the ODB looses communication with whomever it talks to. Also dash gauges stop working same time as comm is lost. Fuse that powers ODB was blown, but has not re-blown after being replaced.

What module is ODB comm connected to?

Is that a typo ODB, did you mean OBD?

Yah, I fat fingered it. What I have found, looks like it's from the BCM to a DCL. Not sure if that's an active serial switch or what. I ordered a service manual but haven't gotten it yet.

The OBD port connects to the ECM.
What exactly is the problem with the vehicle?
Do you have any codes?

No codes during the first 30 seconds while the OBD has comm and no stored codes. In this thing the OBD comm is connected to the BCM (body control module) which I hear is problematic. Seems like the BCM goes into stack overflow as it works just fine for the first more or less 30 seconds.
Engine and transmission seem normal and continue to work, gauge cluster has no comm after the 30 seconds so all gauges are inop.

So the problem is the gauges only?
If so the typical issue is the gauge cluster

Gauge cluster works just fine as long as their is comm from the BCM.
