Once my car has hit 60 degrees Celsius (a quarter of the gauge), the idle will slowly drop lower and lower. its normal running temp is usually 90 degrees Celsius (half way mark on the gauge). once it hits the 90 degrees Celsius mark, the idle drops to 500 RPM and starts putting, and missing. now I know these things are supposed to run around 750 - 800 RPM so I'm just wondering, with no check engine light on, what could possibly be causing my car to idle so low once it has warmed up? It's starting to bug me mainly cuz it's starting to get nicer outside, and when it idles like that, I get poor response from a stop. Oh and for those who don't know, it's a 2000 GT (2.4L)

hmmm... no ideas?? guess I'll start the trial and error process then.. thanx for the help guys!

kinda got lucky, the ECM finally picked up the code and is throwing a check engine light. now to just get my hands on a code scanner.. cars quickly beginning to be not worth my time...

thats why im still considering getting rid of mine.......old cars are aggravating........perhaps a late model used might be my better option. oil leaks, plastic parts breakage. the list never stops. BUT .. it beats a car payment right?
